"Life is not a series of gig lamps symmetrically arranged; life is a luminous halo, a semi-transparent envelope surrounding us from the beginning of consciousness to the end." --Virginia Woolf

Smith ’69, Purdue ’75. Anarchist; agnostic. Writer. Steward of the Pascal Emory house, an 1871 Second-Empire Victorian; of Sylvie, a 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SL; and of Taz, a purebred Cockador who sets the standard for her breed. Happy enough for the present in Massachusetts, but always looking East.

Hubcaps for me are found art. I have dozens in my collection, all of them taken from the side of the road. Well, one was given to me by its owner...but not until it had fallen off the car by itself. For some reason, my friend didn't feel the necessity of putting it back on. It was living in the trunk anyway....he offered....so, I thought, why not?posted by Cicily Corbett | 10:33 PM
