A Luminous Halo

Diary March 14, 1960: I Want to See Girl's Town Again

"Dear Diary--

Gilda went swimming today, first time. I hope I'll be going, too. (soon) I can wear my red suit.

We had a test in Social, I think I did all right.

French, too, and I got lost (partially) after 'Comment ally vous?'

I have been wearing my hair parted, because Mom made me (it was so long) but I tried bangs today and it looks all right.

I have 15 cents in my bank, which is at least a start toward saving in general. 60 cents more (at the most) and I can go to the movies! And maybe treat Gilda. (maybe) I want to see Girl's Town again.

(P.S. Marks close Friday, March 15)"
