Fluffy Ruffles

For a screenplay I've started to write, I'm doing some research on Victorian morbidity and domesticity. Today I came across this interesting article from close to a century ago. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.

Laugh, because it's so quaint and dated. Cry, because I realized I was born too late. Apparently there was a time when men actually went for fluffy!
