A Luminous Halo

"Life is not a series of gig lamps symmetrically arranged; life is a luminous halo, a semi-transparent envelope surrounding us from the beginning of consciousness to the end." --Virginia Woolf

Diary February 20, 1960: I Feel Greatly Enlightened Somehow

Dear Diary--
Skating today. I learned how to stoop down, and its loads of fun, but I'm not steady enough to stick my leg out yet. Kathy came, & didn't like the skating, (she couldn't even stand up, practically), but I think Gilda & I drilled something into her. (No skating skirt yet, but soon.)
No test marks from Catechism yet--I wonder how I did?
I feel greatly enlightened, somehow, in everything, as if God would help straighten things out, Kathy, school, home, homework, etc, etc
