A Luminous Halo

Abandoned Car

Today I noticed this car parked on my street. The driver's door was ajar, the passenger window knocked completely out, the windshield cracked, the plates gone. I called the police, and they came out and put a warning sticker on it. The owner has 72 hours to move it, or it will be towed away.

I'm a little concerned, because this is the second such car this week on Salem Street. It seems a coincidence that two different owners would decide to dump their cars here. More likely that the same person or persons picked this quiet street to ditch stolen vehicles.

We'll have to wait and see, I guess. Two times is a coincidence. Three times is a trend.
