What I Had for Lunch Today: Pot Luck

"Life is not a series of gig lamps symmetrically arranged; life is a luminous halo, a semi-transparent envelope surrounding us from the beginning of consciousness to the end." --Virginia Woolf
Smith ’69, Purdue ’75. Anarchist; agnostic. Writer. Steward of the Pascal Emory house, an 1871 Second-Empire Victorian; of Sylvie, a 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SL; and of Taz, a purebred Cockador who sets the standard for her breed. Happy enough for the present in Massachusetts, but always looking East.

We missed the party and feel sad. We
had the car repaired and were leaf peeping in Montague. If we had know in advance about the jack's and the
free food, we could have made arrangements to meet you there. It was a fun time last year, despite the large consumption of pumpkin ale.
We managed to stay clear of the town drunks and it was evident that you were not into their silly conversation.
Ask yourself, do you ever find pleasure in conversing with a drunk???
It was evident that these people are in need of an elite gathering. Perhaps
at one of the locations on you guest list. Glad you had some good
chow. Hope to see you next October.
