A Luminous Halo

Just Another Day in the Neighborhood

With my company gone, I've resumed my visits to the YMCA. My usual routine is to swim a mile one day, and work out in the fitness center on the next. The Y is less than a mile from my house, so I usually walk over. I consider the walk part of my routine.

Tonight, coming home, I spotted this interesting sight on Chestnut Street, within sight of the YMCA's building. Cruisers and unmarked police cars hemmed in a couple of beatup vehicles. Two women and two men, all handcuffed, huddled in the street, surrounded by cops.

Just another day in the neighborhood.
